Division of Information and Quantum Sciences
Advent of the digital society where tremendous amount of information is electronically accessible has made intelligent information processing technologies indispensable. Information Science Group, consisting of four departments, of this division aims to computerize the intelligent human information processing capability to help solve engineering problems and assist intellectual activities. On the other hand, creation of new quantum materials and devices makes it possible to conduct advanced and tremendous amount of calculations and information processing. Quantum Science Group, consisting of four departments, of this division is engaged in experimental and theoretical researches on electronics aimed at establishing the basis of future electronic/photonic/spintronic devices based on novel quantum effects.
