Content of research

Our research interests are focused on the interface between organic chemistry and molecular biology.

Current Research Programs

  1. 1. Development of small molecules that target DNA mismatch.
  2. 2. Application of mismatch binding ligands to the study of triplet repeat disorders.
  3. 3. Modulation of higher ordered structures in nucleic acids using a mismatch binding ligand.
  4. 4. Design and screening of small molecules targeting RNA.
  5. 5. Regulation of RNA function by RNA binding ligands.
  6. 6. Development of new practical methods for detecting a specific sequence of nucleic acids.
  7. 7. Development of artificial nucleic acids that interact with lipid membrane.
