- Network Joint Research Center for Materials and Devices

You can conduct joint research with host researchers at suitable institute and facilities in the framework of national-wide network joint research center consisting of five institutes (RIES Hokkaido University, IMRAM Tohoku University, LCLS Tokyo Institute of Technology, SANKEN Osaka University, IMCE Kyushu University)

- Nanofabrication Platform

This is a facility which provides the advanced research facilities and equipment indispensable for nanotechnologies. SANKEN offers technical supports needed for the micro-fabrications, synthesize molecules and materials.
- Comprehensive Analysis Center

The Center is equipped with various analytical instruments for NMR, MS, elementary microanalysis (CHN), (single crystal) X-ray structure analysis, XRD, SEM, EPMA, SIMS and TEM.
- Research Laboratory for Quantum Beam Science

Based on quantum beam science, frontier beam science relating to environmental material science, new energy sources and advanced medical technology as well as fundamental beam science are promoted with collaborators.
- Anechoic Room
-
It has an anechoic chamber that measures 4.0 x 7.2 meters (4.0 meters in height) and the sound pressure level in it is designed to be below 30dB. It can be used for variousacoustic measurement and analyses, psychological experiments, etc. It can also be used as a darkroom.
- Workshop

In workshop there is a machine shop and a glass blowing shop. We design and fabricate any experimental devices using CNC lathe and CNC cylindrical grinder and so on.
- Network Joint Research
- Five national university research institutes including SANKEN have joint projects and researchers aim to realize innovation that links human, environment and materials and devices.

The five participating institutes individually have accomplished the significant achievements in various multidisciplinary research areas. In addition to their own research capabilities, networking among five institutes would bring much more chances to create cutting-edge research results by synergy of each party, open a new door in the science and technology eventually realizing the innovation for the future.

The "network type joint research center" means that five research areas: Nano Systems Science, Substance Creation Development, Material Histochemical, Nanoscience and Devices, Materials Functional Chemistry, form a new area "Materials and Devices" joining these 5 research areas into one network and preparing the necessary environment for a joint research system.
