Visit to Max Plank Institute for Polymer Research

Dear Reader,

Professors Hirotsu and Ogura visited professor Dr. Paul Blom of Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research located at Mainz, Germany, in order to report 1st core to core conference on June 17&18 at imec, and  EC(European Commission) meeting on June 19, and to discuss about next core to core seminar as well.

Regarding EC issue, Prof. Dr. Blom agreed to keep in touch with Jo de Boeck CTO&SVP of imec to propose Horizon 2020 program  And as he is a key member of core to core program,  he well agreed to organize a core to core seminar at Max Planck next year.

Mainz laboratory is composed of 550 members with main topics of organic nano-material devices concerning modeling, electrical transport and device characterization, together with  topics of polymer science researches, like nano-particles and molecular electronics.

He is now establishing new clean room(200m2) and experimental room above, and these facilities will work completely next year. He welcomes PhD students from ISIR, Osaka University.
