During the five fiscal years of the S-CtC project, we plan to hold 16 international conferences and seminars as detailed above. The overall plan is:

1. 1.to hold the conferences and seminars at all the core locations and some satellite locations.
   

2. 2.to hold relatively small sized seminars on focused topics to facilitate ideas exchange between participants.
   

3. 3.to hold a large scale annual 'imec Handai International Symposium' that aims to integrate the findings and interactions of the smaller seminars so that researchers can interact directly and generate new ideas for innovative devices.
   

4. 4.to establish the network, we will take a stepwise approach as follows:
   

5. •Focus on materials and devices for the first 2-3 years
   

6. •Merge information science with materials and devices
   

7. •Form and maintain the network system

To run this project complementarily to the international conferences and seminars, we plan to set up a community forum as a quick, efficient and convenient tool for the exchange of  ideas, discussions, plans, inquiries and other potential functions. We hope that this structure will enable us to be flexible on a daily basis.
