About Myself

I am Yutaka Ie, an associate professor of the Institute of Scientific and Industrial Research (ISIR) in Osaka University. I am an organic synthetic chemist and my research interest is the development of novel organic semiconducting materials for electronic applications. Since this January, I started researches at Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research (MPI-P) with the support of the ISIR brain circulation project. During my stay in MPI-P, I want to experience many techniques for material evaluations and to deepen my understanding of device physics including device-operating mechanism. Based on the results of these studies, I want to feed back to not only molecular design of next-generation materials but also finding new directions of my research.
