About Myself

My research background is in organic synthesis, photochemistry, and nucleic acids chemistry. Particularly, I am interested in kinetics of chemical reactions and dynamics motions of bio-molecules which I approach using spectroscopic techniques such as single-molecule fluorescence microscopy. Now, I’m working at IMEC (Interuniversity Microelectronics Center) in Belgium with the support of the SANKEN Strategic Young Researcher Overseas Visits Program for Accelerating Brain Circulation project. On my first day of arrival at IMEC, I was shown around the IMEC and I was really surprised that everywhere is so clean and I didn’t smell any organic chemicals or solvents. This is my great chance to get in touch with different fields of science. During my stay in IMEC, I would like to learn and pursue how to integrate basic chemistry research with analytic and diagnostic applications.
