About Myself

I’m Ryu Takeda, an assistant professor at Komatani Laboratory at the Institute of Scientific and Industrial Research (ISIR), Osaka University. My research interests are auditory scene analysis, knowledge acquisition during dialogue and a new application of audio processing techniques. Now, I’m working at Prof. Rudnicky’s group in the Language Technology Institute at Carnegie Mellon University with the support of the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS), “Program for Advancing Strategic International Networks to Accelerate the Circulation of Talented Researchers”. My research subject is to develop an adaptive spoken dialogue system for individual users. I would like to develop a new method of word segmentation and automatic customization of language model through dialogues. I also focus on the case of multiple dialogue systems.
