Department of Advanced Thin-Film Functional Properties (Uemura Lab.)

# Flexible electronics # Organic electronics # Wearable Sensors

In the Department of Advanced Thin-Film Functional Properties, we conduct both basic science and application research for advanced flexible electronics and wearable sensors. More specifically, we study the control technology of device properties and sensor applications for thin-film, lightweight, and flexible electronics utilizing organic semiconductor technology. Organic semiconductor technology is a technology that enables the manufacture of electronic devices using a printing process with minimal environmental impact and, therefore, holds great promise for the realization of a sustainable society. In this research department, we promote research and development to solve social issues by deepening collaboration between fundamental research on thin-film electronic devices, including organic semiconductor technology, sensor device applications, and information science for the utilization of sensor data collected in the real world.
