

Department of Interface Quantum Science aims to create new electronic devices and sensing principles that satisfy various social needs by drawing out and integrating the potential of various materials such as spintronics materials, nanocarbon materials, and flexible materials. In particular, we are pioneering flexible and chiral spintronics, and developing new functional spintronics materials based on nanofabrication technique, physics, and chemistry. Our aim is to develop new applications that are not extensions of conventional spintronics, such as sensing of mechanical motion. We are also developing biosensing technology utilizing the excellent electrical properties of graphene.
