website

In the department of data-driven synthetic organic chemistry for medicinal and material applications, development of environmentally-friendly synthetic reaction processes that utilize infinite and inexhaustible solar energy, and electrical energy that can directly activate target molecules have been conducted. We are also studying data-driven domino synthesis, which actively uses machine learning to promote efficiency and acceleration of reactions. In recent, a highly atom-economical enantioselective organocatalyzed sequence has been established by using a flow reaction system. Suitable conditions were explored through reaction screening of multiple parameters using Gaussian process regression and Bayesian optimization with a small number of trial data. Our research goals are to save labor, improve productivity, and establish a direct molecular conversion process in fine chemical synthesis.
