Our laboratory is advancing chemical biology and medicinal chemistry research with a focus on organic chemistry. I believe that the most fascinating aspect of organic chemistry is the creation of molecules with new functions. Organic chemistry has the power to make the impossible possible. In our laboratory, we are using the power of organic chemistry to challenge life science research. We create biologically active molecules (future molecules) with new functions that have never existed before, and use them in research to elucidate life phenomena (chemical biology) and in attempts to apply them to pharmaceuticals (medicinal chemistry research).
I also believe that developing a way of thinking in research will lead to a richer life (check my column: Recommendation for Diversity). Students and researchers who are interested in creating new functional molecules such as pharmaceuticals by making full use of organic chemistry, why don’t you spend a fulfilling research life in our laboratory, which will be useful for your future life?
Suzuki Laboratory is always looking for new colleagues to work with. We also offer virtual lab tours, so if you are interested in our lab, please feel free to visit us. We are open to any time of the year, as long as you contact us in advance by phone or e-mail.
We are also happy to answer any questions you may have about our lab.
