In Department of Advanced Electron Devices, we are studying flexible organic electronics that can realize "excellent electrical and mechanical flexibility," "self-organization phenomena," and "low-energy processability”, based on materials science, applied physics, and electronics. In particular, we have established advanced integration technology for organic transistors, where we are extensively developing organic material-specific technologies such as molecular stacking technology, material properties and interface control, and circuit design. Furthermore, we are working to realize "fundamental technology for flexible organic transistors" and "ultra-flexible electronics with excellent mechanical properties, stretchable electronics" and to demonstrate their usefulness.
