In the Department of Architecture for Intelligence, we conduct research and development on data analysis methodologies targeting complex real-world phenomena based on artificial intelligence, machine learning, and deep learning. We advance research on both foundational aspects related to knowledge discovery from observation data and application-oriented studies addressing practical problems. In foundational research, we particularly focus on knowledge discovery and prediction from spatiotemporal data. On the other hand, in application-oriented research, we have collaborated in a wide range of areas, including meteorology, earthquakes, oceanography, fuel cells, geothermal energy, sleep studies, dentistry, and more. Our goal is to advance data science using artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies.
