Tokyo Medical and Dental University

Q1.What do you do?

I'm a faculty member of neuroanatomy at Tokyo Medical and Dental University. As for educational activities, I teach medical students by dissecting brains removed from cadavers.

Q2.What have you applied to your current work from what you learned at Nagai Lab, and how has it been utilized.

In my research, I am still developing imaging methods using fluorescent proteins. With the experience of imaging and probe development that I learned at Nagai Lab, I am able to manage to do my work in some way. I also have a chance to interact with Dr. Tani, who I worked with at Nagai Lab, through joint research, and I feel a strange connection with him even after I left the lab.

Q3. Message to juniors

The lab has become even bigger than when I was there, so I'm sure there are many things that are different, but I think you will gain a lot of valuable experience at Nagai Lab, and I hope you will make the most of it in your subsequent work.
